El Lab

We are an interdisciplinary group developing interactive spaces and software art. We are focused on creating sensible and poetic works using recent technologies. Over the last few years, light technology such as for instance laptop computers, microphones, Kinect cameras or Arduino boards, has become affordable for the great public and democratized. Since then, a lot of shows and spectacular installations have been built using these kind of devices. We as a group, propose to refocus our center of attention to use programming and modern technologies as a new plastic medium. Databases, algorithms, processes, calculations, communication channels and triggered mechanisms are made visible and become a different kind of poetry. We are fascinated by the fact that algorithmically generated images, sounds and interactions can reach our emotions.
